Posted Date: 5/27/25 (1:00 PM)

Welcome Back, WDPS Families!
We hope you all had a restful and meaningful Memorial Day weekend! As we return for the final stretch of the school year, there’s so much to look forward to — and we’re kicking it off with an exciting week ahead.
This week, we’re thrilled to welcome Delay the Way, a PTA-sponsored event for our K–5 students. This important presentation will help educate us all on the effects of screen exposure, the impact of smartphones, and how we can work together to protect our children’s well-being. Look below for more information!
Then, on Friday, May 30th, our Second Grade Night Out will take place at OMS! Get ready for a night of fun as the PTA transforms the gym into a spectacular carnival experience just for our second graders!
As we head into June, the excitement continues with:
🎉 Field Day
⭐️Flag Day Celebrations
🎭 The Masked Teacher
🎓 Second Grade Farewell Ceremonies
We have 22 amazing days left to learn, laugh, and make lasting memories before we celebrate the last day of school. Let’s make each one count!

🎨 Starting May 29th, you can visit Harborfields High School to view artwork from Washington Drive students featured in the K–8 Art Show. The exhibit will be on display through June 12th! Don’t miss this wonderful opportunity to celebrate our young artists and their creativity—it's a great way to support our students and see their talents shine!

📚 Harborfields Public Library is offering a Summer Reading Program for children ages 4–10!
Color Our World, One Story at a Time runs from June 23 to August 8.
Students can earn points, badges, and enter raffles for great prizes!
