🍁 Hello Washington Drive Families! 💚 October at WDPS was spooktacular! Our Halloween parades and fall fun events were filled with smiles, creativity, and joyful school spirit. We also had a special visit from the Centerport Fire Department — our students loved seeing the firefighters and exploring the fire trucks! And now… on to November, which is chock-full of exciting learning and community moments! This month we will: ⭐ Honor and celebrate our Veterans — a meaningful opportunity for students to learn about service, sacrifice, and gratitude. 🗣️ Kids Connect Assembly — our students will gather in Talking Circles to build friendships, strengthen communication skills, and connect with peers from other classrooms. 🌱 GROWing Learners Assembly — students will explore our new garden towers and learn how they will help grow and harvest lettuce and vegetables right here at Washington Drive! 🦃 Learn about Thanksgiving — we will reflect on what it means to be thankful and celebrate our wonderful school community. We are grateful for each and every one of our students and families — thank you for making WDPS such a special place to learn and grow together!
