Good Morning Washington Drive Families,
Welcome back! We hope you enjoyed a wonderful winter recess filled with happy moments with family and friends. As we begin this new year together, we are excited to reconnect, foster new memories, and continue to watch our students shine as they grow and learn with us in 2026.

📚 Pick a Reading Partner (PARP) kicks off this week with our PARP Play! Our teachers will be sharing the joy of reading as they perform in a fun production of Peter Pan, all tied to this year’s theme: “Reading Is a Treasure.”
⭐ SEPTA Silver Linings will be held on January 7th at 7:00 PM at TJL. This is a wonderful event highlighting the accomplishments of our graduates as they share their special education journeys.

💡 Shine a Light Week will take place the week of January 20th:

Tuesday: Acts of Kindness Day – help out a friend or teacher
Wednesday: Compliment Day – share kind words
Thursday: Donation Day – bring in a food donation for HACO
Friday: Wear Pink to honor Inclusivity Day

We are looking forward to a fantastic start to the new year and can’t wait to see our WDPS community back together.
