WDPS Happenings - Week at a Glance

Posted Date: 06/14/26 (12:54 PM)

It’s a BIG week at WDPS! 💚🌪️ We are celebrating our Semiquincentennial, honoring our students, and wrapping up an amazing school year!
Last week, we loved celebrating our seniors during our first-ever Senior Hand-Off, as our kindergarteners led them through the halls where their journey began. What a special way to celebrate the memories that connect our WDPS family!
We can’t wait to celebrate our students and end the year with joy, pride, and WDPS spirit! 🌪️💚

🌳 June 15 – Semiquincentennial Celebration - Please dress your child in RED, WHITE, or BLUE

WDPS students will participate in a special sing-along and tree ceremony commemorating America's 250th anniversary. This is a student-only event, but we look forward to sharing photos with families afterward.

🎨 June 15 – District Art Show

The Harborfields District Art Show will take place at Harborfields High School beginning at 4:00 p.m. We hope you'll stop by to celebrate our students' artistic talents!

🔤 June 18 – Second Grade Spelling Bee

Our second-grade classroom finalists will compete in the grade-level spelling bee. This is a student-only event.

❤️💙 June 19 – No School

Schools will be closed in observance of Juneteenth.

🎤🎭 June 22 – WDPS Masked Singer

Students will enjoy our annual Masked Singer event as WDPS staff take the stage to perform fun songs. Students will have the chance to guess which teachers and staff members are behind the masks!
